Change Device

If you need to move the current license to another computer, follow this Change Device process.

Requirements

Before you start, confirm that the original device meets all of the following conditions:

  • The remaining validity period is more than 22 days; renew it first if needed
  • The replacement target is a brand-new device or an expired device
  • At least 48 hours have passed since the previous device change

Steps

  1. Sign in to MCA ADMIN with the correct admin account: https://mcastar.net/home
  2. In the device list, find the original device you want to replace and click Change Device
  3. Click Generate Device-Change Code (token)
  4. The device change code (token) can only be generated on the MCA ADMIN page at mcastar.net/home. Please complete the remaining steps within 5 minutes
  5. Install and launch MCA on the new device, enter the activation screen, and enter the 8-digit device change code (token) directly in the activation code input box. This input box is also used for the activation code; the system auto-detects based on the number of digits entered: an 8-digit entry is recognized as a device change code and triggers a confirmation. Submit the change after confirming
  6. Restart MCA so the change takes effect

Notes

  • After the change, all settings and data from the original device are inherited in full
  • Each device change deducts 1 day of valid usage
